Clint Eastwood directed and starred in this 1982 gem about a country singer on the brink of success who must exorcise his demons before he truly makes it. Flaky and irresponsible, Red Stovall changes his approach to life when he's invited to audition at the Grand Ole Opry. On his way there, Red encounters his teenage nephew, Whit, whose mother has urged him to accompany Red to ensure he gets to the Opry safely. But who's taking care of whom here?
