A bored little boy (Spencer Breslin) and girl (Dakota Fanning) are visited on a rainy day, while their mother (Kelly Preston) is away, by the Cat in the Hat (Mike Myers). Along with Thing 1 and Thing 2, the mischievous cat proceeds to turn the house into the "mother of all messes." But will everything be cleaned up before mom gets home? Alec Baldwin co-stars and Bo Welch directs this comic adventure based on the classic children's book by Dr. Seuss.
