Two aspiring actresses -- refined Lauren (Shelley Long) and brassy Sandy (Bette Midler) -- seem to have nothing in common, until they learn they share the same boyfriend (Peter Coyote). When he mysteriously disappears, the ladies embark on a wacky cross-country pursuit to track him down.Will these wronged women find the philandering scoundrel -- and justice? Comedian George Carlin co-stars in this fast-paced comedy of errors.
