A thirty-something New Yorker (Nicole Kidman) meets an adoring 10-year-old boy (Cameron Bright) who insists he's the reincarnation of her husband who died 10 years earlier. The irksome revelation begins to get under her skin, and she starts second-guessing the decisions she's made over the course of her life -- much to her mother's (Lauren Bacall), best friend's (Anne Heche) and fiance's (Danny Huston) chagrin.
