Airline owner and multimillionaire Tom Mullen (Mel Gibson) is shocked and horrified when his son (Brawley Nolte) is kidnapped. Mullen and his wife (Rene Russo) are advised by FBI Agent Hawkins (Delroy Lindo) to pay off the kidnappers, which will make it easier to track down the criminals. When the drop goes wrong, Mullen goes on television and offers a $2 million bounty on the heads of the people who abducted his child.
