Though there's plenty of Adam Sandler's trademark comedy, The Wedding Singer features a surprisingly touching romance. Wedding band front-man Robbie Hart (Sandler) anxiously awaits his marriage to his longtime girlfriend. Meanwhile, he gets chummy with also-engaged reception-hall waitress Julia (Drew Barrymore). When Robbie gets jilted at the altar, Julia tries to put an end his heartbreak by enlisting his expertise in planning her wedding.
