Kristy and I caught this flick while buying time waiting to pick up Molly from the groomers. I couldn't help but notice several similarities to The Matrix and Minority Report in this Sci-Fi thriller. I've always enjoyed Michael Bay action movies but have come to expect a certain mind numbing plot driven by the quickest route to the explosions. The Island started out more like a smart character driven thriller with high expectations, which halfway roared intensely back to an action blockbuster. It was a good premise with great actors to suck you into the story (Scarlett Johansson, Ewan McGregor, Djimon Hounsou, Sean Bean) and great effects/explosions to eradicated all remaining nerve endings to leave you forgetting about all the questions unanswered.
