Everyone's favorite maladjusted FBI agents, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), are back in a fight for their lives. The movie opens 35,000 years ago with the spotlight on some squishy aliens, but that's incidental. As in the TV series, The X-Files' plot is a tight web of conspiracy and compromise, where the truth only makes things worse for everyone.
