2004
When Flynn is pushed out of school after earning 20 different degrees, he has to find a job. He is invited to apply for a librarian post for the Metropolitan Library, which he is surprised to be given. Starting his new job, he discovers it is no ordinary library, and he is to be no ordinary librarian. One of the artifacts is stolen by an evil brotherhood, and Flynn is thrown in the deep end, sent to the Amazon to save the world.
He didn't want to be a hero. He only wanted a job.
